Where? Brussels, Jacques Delors building, room JDE 61
When? Mon, 12 October 2026 at 17:30-18:00.
For Whom? Urban developers, policy makers, RDI actors, and other innovation ecosystem developers.
InnoCities will be a part of the European Week of Regions and Cities event in Brussels on 12-14 October!
In our session, Tiina Ramstedt-Sen will present Finland’s multi-level governance model, where 16 city regions and the national government collaborate through innovation ecosystem agreements. The model helps align local strengths with national priorities, driving the clean transition, digitalization and the adoption of new technologies.
By building on each city’s distinct profile, the model fosters regional innovation ecosystems and applies a strategic portfolio approach to EU funding. Altogether, the scale of activity is significant. As of 2026, more than 200 project entities are underway across the InnoCities network.
Join us to discover how Finland is turning collaboration into innovation impact on Monday the 12th of October at 17:30! Look for the session headline “From Fragmentation to Focus: Finland’s Model for Urban Innovation” and register below:
