Lappeenranta

The lead development theme of Lappeenranta’s ecosystem agreement (tem.fi) is green electrification.

Green electrification is promoted by strengthening RDI operations and by launching joint development platforms for significant investments related to the theme in the Lappeenranta-Imatra region. Strong drivers of business growth that work with the cities include LUT University, which is considered to be one of the most highly-ranked institutions worldwide, the university’s energy expertise and the businesses in the Greenreality Network.

The agreement aims to achieve significant growth in Finland’s green electrification business and to establish new types of business. The vision is to make Finland and the Lappeenranta-Imatra region the innovation hub of green electrification by 2027.
